Weekend @ Macau

Just touch down......dreading to go to work tom after the lovely weekend.

Went to Macau and finally spent some time doing bo liao stuff with Stevie. We spent the whole of Sat roaming around for 12 hours. Pretty long time considering we only went to 3 places.

Went to the newly open City of dreams to take a look at the new casino and hotel. Then shopping at Venetian and again to the casino. We watched people play the Carribean stud and my hands started to feel itchy. The min bet is too high. When we were in Burswood it is soo much cheaper. $15 and i can play the Carribean stud already. But the min bet in Macau is $50 per game. Wonder where all the people get their money from?

So decided to try the jackpot since the table is too expensive. Found this Monopoly game which have interesting bonus round. There is this aunty that keeps getting into the bonus round. The interesting part of this game is there is more than 1 type of bonus round and all of the bonus round is soo cute with all the tiny people moving around and different choice leading to different rewards. We tried our luck and we managed only to get into 1 bonus round, earned some credits but still we end up losing. With my luck at gambling, this is already considered not too bad . I used to not even get into any bonus round despite going to Burswood every other night). Afterwards, we realised that the whole row playing the monopoly game keep getting into the bonus round one after another. Well, some people just have better luck with gambling. Just have to think that my luck is compensated with other things in life instead of for gambling. This is how i come to terms after soo many loses at Burswood.

Then it is off to enjoy our must-have Jap food. As we were there early, we decided to eat slowly so that we can enjoy the various promotion of the day. The chef will at different time throughout the night ring the bell and announce the promotion. Each time will be a different promotion. As I do not understand a single cantonese and stevie is not very good at cantonese either, it is very difficult to understand the promotion. Once we saw the chef slicing the fish and soon after he made his annoucement. We just came to the conclusion that the promotion must be the fish sushi. When the order came out, we still didn't realise it is the promotion order. I still looked at steve and ask him whether it was a complimentary. It's so hilarous. What we thought would be a fish sushi turns out to be an ice-cream!! We stayed for almost 3 hours and finish the whole bottle of preserved ginger while chatting and waiting for the next promo. Luv the beef tataki, the scallop and definitely the sea uchin.

After the short lovely weekend, it is time to fly back to reality. And not before long, in the airplane, i am already greeted by some idiot peoples. Maybe it is stevie influencing me with him ranting on about his idiot people theory and i found myself getting more and more impatient recently. So while on the plane, i read a story in reader digest and it kindda inspired me and i decided that maybe i should be more forgiving and show more kindness and that is what i was planning to do until.....

People started to stand up and taking their bags before the plane even stopped and on their handphones when only 10 mins before the air-stewardess just made an announcement to only switch on the handphones when in the airport and this is announced in both english and mandarin. If these are uneducated people, really i can forgive but these people are singaporeans in there 20s who are bilingual. Are they being arrogant or are they being ignorant? Arrogant that nothing bad will happen to them and they are kings or ignorant about how important the annoucement is and should be followed. I do not know how the handphone will affect the signals but if this is an annoucement made by all airlines and they bother to annouce at each takeoff and landing, they must have a good reason. Even though our plane have landed safely, there are still planes in the queue to takeoff or fly in and they might be affected. With such inconsiderate and irresponsible behaviours, is this increasing the risk of taking airplanes. Should airlines just consider keeping the phones for all passengers until touch down?

There are many people out there that falls in and many other that do not falls within this category. I should just think positively as Steve say the glass is half full and not half empty. Then maybe i won't get so emotionally disturbed by these people. Maybe stevie should also self-counsel himself so that there is less anger.

KTV after Clubbing

Last week is fun fun fun.
Went to watch Hangover, which is a bit disgusting but very hilarious.
Maybe its been a long time since I watch comedy but the show just crack me up. Even though it is just stupid accent and weird behaviors from the characters, I still can't help laughing at the stupidity. Had pop-corn again and GV's ones are better than Cathay's.

Friday we are suppose to leave early for shopping.
Being "tam jia gui", shopping never happen and we end up eating our favorite sashimi and that is not enough we went for second round to eat "sea hum" and chicken wings cos Janice have craving for "Sea hum". Yummy!! The cooked ones are also as good as the semi-cooked ones.

Then it is off to St James. Dragonfly is now filled with Uncles and Aunties and somehow the songs in Boiler Room are not as nice as before but it seems to get better after 1am. Cannot understand why some gals just want to try to move into our dance floor space when we are all already standing there. It is not as if there is no space to dance at their side. They have to move closer and closer and eat into our space, using their arms and big butts to move in. Messed with the wrong gal, better luck next time! Bar None is great!! Even though not many people are dancing, it has all the nice groovy songs and it is less crowded and finally a place to sit even without opening any bottles and not to mentioned no silly gals.

I knew I should cancel the ktv session the next day. My voice is croaking after all the shouting.
The next day before KTV tried to drink as much water as possible but after the first song my voice just gave way. Donald still video me singing with my croaking voice (he better not put into facebook or else….). Then after it is to Rachel's for baby 1st year b-day and as usual the place is like a childcare centre.

This Weekend

This weekend is more happy news than bad ones.

Had a major arguement with Stevie. Our views are very much different but usually it is post-arguement i am able to reflect back and think what i can do differently. Still the answer is only specific to that situation and the next arguement just comes again and again. Had a peaceful chat with Stevie and not only our views are different even how we do things and approach a situation is soo different. Important is we still want to be with each other.

Stevie back this week is great. Despite the unhappiness at the beginning of the week, being with Stevie this week makes up for it. Maybe it is the less hectic schedule, we just have to wait for the furniture to be delivered, we had a bit of time for ourselves to enjoy each other company. The furnitures are all in except the bed and after all the discussion and the trouble we had gone through, the house met our expectation.

After, we still manage to roam around at Vivo. We reached Vivo at 9.30pm to squeeze some shopping time and i manage to grab a top which i like very much. Even though we only spent less than 2 hours shopping, at least it is a break from the house and wedding stuff and it is happiness. Then before Stevie left this morning, we had breakfast together. Carefree days are back and i hope it is here to stay!! Still, I must learn to let go and not be so particular about how things are done.

Friends Day @ the Zoo

It's been a long long time since i last been to the zoo.

Think it is since Primary school and i think it didn't change a bit or was i dreaming. Everything seems to be the same still.

Some parts of the zoo were plain boring as the animals are just too far no wonder Nicole is soo restless. Nicole was half the time crying and quarter of the time sleeping and quarter of the time calm enough to enjoy the zoo.

Still we got to feed the Giraffe and touch the horse. Didn't get to see much of the show as the timing is hard to meet but still we manage to see the polar bear and the seal show. Luv the Seal, such a smart, handsome and humorous animal. It's black shiny coat makes it even more outstanding ....but the kids that got the wet kisses....err..i won't be too envious of that.

Lei Garden Dim Sum

Finally, bro have graduated and got his first pay.

Went to Lei Garden today for Dim Sum for celebration.

Was such a disappointment.

First impression is that the waiting area is a bit too small to hold the crowds coming in. Luckily, the first crowd did leave on time at around 1pm so we do not need to wait too long in the crowded and area.

The variety of Dim Sum is pathetic, not much creativity for a restuarant and most of the food is a bit too salty. The food is average and nothing surprising. The Century egg porridge and fried carrot cake are the better ones which is richer in flavour.

Definitely, not one of the places i would chose again for dim sum.
