Wedding Photo-taking in Macau

This weekend is my wedding photo-taking week.
It is a tiring, cold, happy, frustrating and feel pretty week.

As usual, took the Saturday morning flight at 6am to Macau.
Ate many many Ricola LemonMint to prevent myself from getting air sickness.
Got diarrhea twice (maybe due to the sweets) before landing and once after landing.
To fill up my empty stomach, had Macdonald brekkie with Stevie before heading to the bridal shop.

Ecstatic!! Many many choices.
My eyes are dazzled with all the gowns to choose from.
It is like window shopping and I have the entire shop to choose from.
First Stop is the white gowns, then is the colored once, then the traditional/costumes ones.
I am already blurred by all the gowns to choose from.
Don't know which one to try or which one to pick
Luckily I have a great dressing assistant who puts me on track.
The lady is very good and is able to pick out the style that suited my look and body figure.

It is just too difficult to decide. We have to top up money to add another gown because I cannot decide which one to take out. In the end, I chose 2 white gowns with long trail, 1 white gown with no trail, 1 red gown, 1 turquoise gown and lastly the traditional Kua. 6 outfit in all, 1 outfit more than what is in our package. All this done in 3 hours.
Think I took double the time then usual customers cos the lady did mentioned before we chose that usually girls will take 1 hour plus and guys will take half the time.
Then after lunch, it is Stevie's turn and it is done in an hour.

Monday, photo-taking day.
Weather: No sun, foggy and cold.
Reached the shop at 10.30am to do makeup. Everyone was very friendly.
Although there is language barrier but it was fun as the assistants are all young, friendly and helpful.
The makeup artist did several hairstyles, some of which, I like very much.
But my heartache each time she redo my hairstyle as she would use a big brush and brush my hair hard to do the styling. I think at least half of my hair is gone by day-end.

Wednesday, is choosing photo day.
In all there is 300 plus photos to choose from and we had to choose 90 shots.
It is a difficult task. Many things to consider
Maybe it is just me being picky
Soo many criteria to meet.
Must have enough shots from each of the 6 gowns, the different poses, the different places, etc.
We spent 4 hours just to choose the photos and end up buying 10 more shots.
We still have to choose which photos to be frame up and in which frame, etc.
We spend almost the entire day in the shop.

Can't wait to get the photos.
Stevie refuse to take some photos for me as he said it is not allowed.
Should have insisted if I knew it take 3 months to process the photos.
My god!! 3 times longer than the processing time in Singapore.
But it's ok, anyway I will have a lifetime to enjoy them

Hmm, getting hook on taking such photos.
Maybe should do another one when we are 40 years old (in another country??Japan??)
