3rd and last day in Hong Kong

I will miss my hotel. Jen Hotel is a very zen hotel. The room is exactly as in their website. Simple, clean and the bed is very very comfy. Though it may be out of the way, cab fare to our hotel never hit SGD15.

Greetings from Jen Hotel on the TV when it is switch on. Talk about customise service.

Despite coming to Hong Kong several time, this is the first time i visited Stanley. There really isn't anything much here but it was a fun bus ride up the peak. We wonder, who will leave at Stanley? It is so inconvenient. But the houses are very nice.

And this is the end of my Hong Kong trip. Well, not after going for a second round of the Zhu Pa Bao at the Cha Chan Ting near Jen Hotel.

Hong Kong Day 2

Today the sun is up and shining. Great day to walk around and not get stuck in shopping centres.

First stop is the Central Mid-Level Escalator. Although we had a good work-out, this area is all about food!!!

Prawn Dumpling @ Tsim Chai Kee. The prawn dumpling are humongous. I think there are 2 large prawns in them and loved the QQ noodles.

Next we had Dim Sum at Lin Heung Tea House. Didn't take any pictures though cos the place is really messy and crowded. We went into the tea house and was immediately shoved by a waiter into 2 seats. Well, we did manage to get our Dim sum. Not as nice as expected but the chicken feets are really fatty and big. We also ordered the duck soup as many many people are eating it. Turn out nice. Cannot finish the duck after the heavy breakfast but i don't mind having the soup again.

Time to go down the long long flights of steps

Our 3rd meal of the day and it is only 1pm. Roost Goose Duck @ Yung Kee. The duck is well-marinated and tender. I must say it is really oily and fatty. And this being the 3rd meal, i really have to wash down the oil with tea tea and more tea.

As it is still early, we decided to go to Kowloon. This is the third time i'm in Hong Kong and knowing Stevie and me are not shopping fanatics, we can definitely finish off Kowloon with 1/2 day.

Walking along the streets of Mongkok. Stevie is impress that they close off the roads for people to shop.

Drinking at Lan Kwai Fang. After all the walking today, beer is great.

We decided to skip dinner after eating and walking the whole day. Too tired to enjoy any food. Well, skipping dinner is a wrong choice for 2 greedy pigs. Late in the night, we were so hungry, we went to the Cha Chan Ting (recommended by the hotel staff) nearby our hotel. The Zhu Pai Bao is sooo good. The pork is tender, the mustard sauce is nice, even the bread is crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Much better then the one sold in Macao which many many raved about.

Hong Kong Day 1

Tyhoon no. 3 greeted us today but the trip must still go on. Managed to get out of the house, took the ferry (which is still operating despite the choppy waters ~ seasick!!) and reach Hong Kong without vomiting. Too excited over the weather and i forgot to buy mint sweet and had make do with the sour plums that is selling on the ferry.

Stevie's Fido Dido hairstyle and my untidy hair after their battles with typhoon no. 3.

Due to the bad weather, we had to take cover at the major shopping complex in Causeway Bay. Didn't really buy much but was contemplating whether to get a Gucci bag which i really like. Well, as there is not much of a price difference, i will think about it when i return to Singapore.

Relaxing at Sogo Cafe. The ambiance is great. Noisy enough for me to talk without having to whisper and the decor is European. Stevie loved the Bake Butter Bread.

Korea hotpot for Dinner @ Jin Luo Bao 金羅寶韓國料理, 6/F Island Beverley Centre, 1 Great George Street, Causeway Bay. The service and food at this restaurant is fantastic. The side dishes (total 8 of them) are all really nice. I think i can just eat the side dishes for dinner. The pan-fried beef (Stevie didn't want to diy cos he didn't want to get dirty) was tender and well-marinated. Then lastly is the hotpot. The seafood and veggies are all very fresh and the waitress did all the cooking and it was a pleasure to look at. Oh, i cannot not mention the sauce that they serve with the hotpot. Superb!! After all that, they still serve black sesame ice-cream with fruits. I have to literally hug my big belly after to walk.

Touch-down at Macau

Reached Macao at 6.45pm and was greeted with typhoon no. 1.

Not a bad start. I always wonder how big is the wind whenever the company announces that our Hong Kong/Taipei colleagues is experiencing typhoon. Lucky for us it is only typhoon no. 1. The wind is already quite strong and there is some resistance when we move ourselves against the wind and sometimes be push by it when we are moving along with the wind.

My Pucca slippers which Stevie bought. Comfy and warm.

Stevie doing some serious mixing of the noodles and sauce.

Cheers to great food. Stevie waited long long time for me to have Jap food with him.

Many many food to eat. Loved my Hamachi, scallops and noodles. As usual Stevie over-estimated the size of his stomach or he is trying to make me fatter so that he can tease me about my big belly. Who cares!?! Life is about enjoyment. Shiok!!

Hook on Korea dramas

Getting lazy and addicted to Korea dramas on the web.
Not good. Wasn't able to do anything at all. Didn't finish my book, newspaper still neatly stack on the floor, blog not updated, didn't go sign up for my course, slept at 6am on Thursday becos of my addiction and woke up at 7.30am for work.

Practically my life is on hold becos of korea dramas!!!!

Lucky for me these days work is minimal and light but at the same time very frastrating due to an sos situation from another team. Hope it gets better for them and we will also feel less helpless.

Gotta buck up, finish testing and hand over all my work to my colleagues. Go sign up the course and start packing my lagguage before i go on my 2 weeks broad leave.

Yoi Hooo!!!!! Can't wait to go for my leave to rejuvenate.
Hopefully things will be better when i get back.

Going to watch my korea drama and laugh my heart out and feel the romance.

Why the world have sucky people??

Yesterday suppose to be a fun day.

But i just kept thinking about terrible people. Such people should not even exist in this world. They should be reincarnated as a bitch, no (i love dogs), should be into some cow dung or something even worst.

As it was crowded everywhere, we settled on Pepper lunch as there were no queue. Wasn't too excited about eating it (my first time trying) as there is always this smell when i pass by the fast food chain. Always feel like vomitting. Anyways, there were 7 of us and the waiter found a table meant for 10 people but there was 3 gals sitting at one end. So he politely ask the them whether they mind sharing. And one of the gals responded "THEN WHERE IS MY BAG GONNA SIT??". Oh please!! The question was meant only as a polite gesture. The poor waiter. My god! I almost fainted. What happen to the manners of youngsters these days? Where and what the hell are their parents doing? In fact, whenever, i meet such people, i'm really curious what kind of parents do the have? For god sake, if you want to be so posh, then why the hell eat at a fast food chain?

Later after the gals have finish up, they took out their cosmetic to do some touch up. Then i concluded, these gals must be stupid. Firstly, for the price they pay for the food, their bags don't get entitled to a seat. Secondly, as it is a cook-it-yurself meal, they still intend to go out after smelling like smoke and oil after that. Really.....lost for words.

People that i don't understand
1) Office Bitch
2) Sluts that go for other peoples boyfiends/husbands (seems to happen more frquently nowadays)
3) Guys that will fall for sluts and didn't realise until the relationship get sour. Come on, isn't it obvious. Some has it written all over their faces and some from their behavior it is already apparent. Self-denial.
4) people that don't move right to the end of the bus
5) people that stand right in front of the MRT door not allowing others to alight
6) people that follows the bus door when the bus is slowing down to a halt and pushing others while at it
7) people that still want to go up the bus even though there is clearly no space and taking 10 mins to realise it and give up while in the meantime the whole bus is late becos of that
8) people that blames on society and their environment for their own wrong-doings.
9) management (sometimes)
10) overly sensitive people
11) people with not much common sense
12) and many many more

The list goes on and sometimes i do wonder where does these people come from. The people that i know are not like that. Hopefully some of the people that i mentiond in my list will never cross path.
